Communities were killed a long time ago, by underfunding local infrastructure, government policies that destroyed jobs. By moving poor people out to ghettos whilst city centres are given to absentee landlords who rent to commuters. Turning vital facilities into car parks. 2/*

All the ‘death of the high street means death of community’ is bullshit.
Shopping is simply moving elsewhere. Perhaps the high street can be given to libraries, youth clubs, pubs and cafes, galleries and sports. You know, actual social things that can’t be done online? 1/*

What IS dying on the high street, is the idea of consumerism as a pastime. Those that have enriched themselves by charging exorbitant rents to big retailers (that priced local traders out and lowered local wages) are struggling. I have little sympathy for these people. 3/*

We are right to be outraged by the pitiful amount of tax paid by Amazon, but the answer is not taxation to save some future HoF from going under, but to fund the resources that communities desperately need. 5/5

@robmanueltwitter.com I think there are so many examples of flabby films and tight TV, that this turns out not to be a meaningful factor in either mediums success or failure.
To counter, I’d say TV is better for character exploration, film is too focused with actions.

@4m3thy5ttwitter.com I’ve done it with balsamic. But you need to let them cook down on a low heat for ages, so the juice gets all sticky. Think it’d probably work with cider vinegar too.
Or you can just put Worcestershire sauce in at any point, in any quantity and it’ll amplify beans to manna status
